Elements 2 Adds Support For Web Publishing And Exporting.
Carmel, IN — Second Gear is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Elements 2, a major upgrade to their plain text and Markdown editor for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Elements allows you to view, edit and share plain text and Markdown formatted documents on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. All of your data is stored on your personal Dropbox account so that its accessible from any device you have.
Version 2 adds support for sharing your written work to a variety of online services. Users can publish articles as a text post to their Tumblr account or as a note on Facebook. Elements 2 also adds support for exporting files in both the HTML and PDF formats. Users can then save the exported files to Evernote, Dropbox or share them via email or iTunes.
Elements 2 also offers a completely redesigned user interface for both the iPhone and iPad versions as well as a new application icon.
Elements 2 is a free update for existing 1.0 users. New user can purchase a copy of Elements 2 for $4.99 on the App Store.
Elements 2.0 requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 4.2. A free Dropbox account is also required. Elements can be downloaded from the App Store.
